The opportunity to create a home that is compatible with your style is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and our Design Gallery is here to make sure you have all you need for the process. Our experienced Design Gallery Consultants will guide you step by step and room by room using their extensive product knowledge to help educate you on the available choices. The consultants will also assist you in your choices and finding the most complimentary color schemes for your space. Our unique and state-of-the-art Design Gallery offers a vast selection of beautiful options all in a one-stop-shop experience. Each of our consultants has completed industry-leading training and is certified by The National Design Studio Institute as a Design Consultant Professional. An Introduction To The Coastal Club Design Gallery
Step one in the design process is attending a Preview Event at the Design Gallery. These open house events are held several times a month, allowing buyers to tour the Design Gallery, ask questions, and get early hands-on experience with the various selections that Chesapeake Homes offers. As a future new homeowner, you will attend at least one preview event prior to your first Design Appointment. After your Purchase Agreement is complete, you will schedule your first official appointment with one of our knowledgeable consultants. This is when you begin thinking about flooring and countertop options, as well as electrical and structured wiring locations. Additionally, we suggest visiting one of our Chesapeake Homes’ community models to gain ideas and inspiration about your own personalization. Your consultant will guide you through the whole process and be able to help with any questions you may have throughout this design experience.
Meet Your Design Team
Susan discovered her passion for interior design as a teenager, when she would rearrange the furniture and paint rooms when her parents were out of town. Her love of the mountains led her to Appalachian State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. After falling in love with the Myrtle Beach area during summer vacations, she decided to settle there after graduation and now has over 30 years of experience designing and renovating interior spaces all along the Grand Strand. In 2018 she was given the opportunity to join Chesapeake Homes as a Design Consultant Professional. You will often hear her tell homebuyers that she now has the “best job in the world”. For the past 6 years, she has been able to bring enthusiasm and excitement to the design process. She is proud to guide homebuyers through their selections and to help them realize that they are not just building a new house but creating a new home. When not at work, Susan enjoys being outside, cooking, and making people laugh. Her favorite thing to say is: “Get ready to have fun”!
Jennifer was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she later left to attend the University of South Carolina. Upon arriving in the Carolinas, she immediately knew this would become her home. She has since raised two children in Myrtle Beach and has a full background in stellar customer service. Jennifer owned and operated a photography company for several years prior to managing a hospitality design firm. Because of her eye for detail and dedication to those around her, Chesapeake Homes hired her in 2020 to be a Design Consultant. In 2021, she earned her DC Pro Certification. Jennifer treasures this beautiful blend of working with buyers and assisting them in designing their dream homes. When she isn’t helping buyers, she’s likely at home with her family and pets or catching a live music event somewhere in the community.
